Over the past couple of weeks I've been painting up the British and Germans that came with 0200 Hours. The models are from Wargames Atlantic and come bundled with the starter box. We've already played through the rules once to get an idea and enjoyed the game.
That gives you 12 British who I've painted up as Commando's with a variety of weapons to use against the Germans. To help distinguish the officer / NCO's I have given them berets and the other ranks are either bare headed or wearing a commando hat.
For the Germans you get 18 men and again these have been given a variety of weapons. You also get some guard dogs to help sniff out the British. The machine gun comes from a different WW2 German set but the arms fit well enough that it's hard to notice.
The German uniforms are a bit more varied and detailed than the British ones and I dipped into the Vallejo range of period specific colours to get them painted up.
A muted pallet seems to work well for these
